Recap: The 5th Annual Women On The Rise Forum & Expo
Marsha Guerrier’s Women On The Rise Forum & Expo, is helping women to level up and rise above their circumstances.
It is a given, conferences can sometimes be expensive. But when you attend the right one, magic happens! You’re empowered, you feel inspired, and you make great new connections. This past weekend Women On The Rise Forum & Expo took over the Laguardia Plaza Hotel in Queens New York for two spectacular days of inspiring keynotes, informative panels, boundary-pushing masterclasses, shopping, and networking.
Hosted by International Speaker and Best Selling Author -- Dr. Stacie NC Grant with her intoxicating personality and smile; the event delivered quotable moments from speakers including the warrior queen Bershan Shaw, award-winning journalist -- Asha McKenzie, and CEO of Vera Moore Cosmetics -- Vera Moore. Did I mention that Women On The Rise also partnered with HSN American Dreams and Lili Gil Valletta -- Award-winning entrepreneur, TV personality, co-founder and CEO of CIEN+ and creator of Dreamers Venture -- to give preselected entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their products? Suffice it to say, it was pretty epic.
The multicultural career and entrepreneurial conference brought together experts from around the country to share knowledge and shape the dialogue about inclusive leadership, covering topics including building your brand, money talk, leveraging social media, career growth hacks, bringing your product to market, mindful moments, multi-level marketing and much more. Committed to supporting the economic success of women, the weekend wrapped up with a Rise Award ceremony, where women who are challenging the status quo, influencing change in careers, public and social media, community, politics were nominated.
Women leadership is on the rise among women, with female voices and ideas finally getting the attention and momentum they deserve. Women On The Rise dared women to live fully. After all, there’s no need to fit inside someone else’s mold when you can make your own way on your terms.
