Breaking Down The EU GDPR Data Protection Law
Tea please *In my British accent*! Oh wait, I’m not in Europe? But it certainly feels like it, since I've been deep diving in all this European Union GDPR talk.
You’re probably thinking the same person is writing all the emails hitting your inbox lately. They kind of go something like this: “in preparation for the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on May 25, 2018...”.
Yeah, I know not only am I receiving them too, but I just sent one myself.
You're probably busy, bootstrapping your business or side hustle, barely staying on top of your website, and not to mention figuring out social media. And now, all this talk about GDPR. I bet you're even thinking why do I need to bother with all this EU GDPR gibberish? I don't live in the Europe.
Truth is, this new data collection law affects every company that’s either based in Europe, or non-European companies who have (or possibly could have) customers in Europe.
If you do any of the following, then you’ll want to join me for a quick GDPR crash course.
You own a website.
You sell products or offer freebies on your site.
You have an email list.
You embed any content from other sites or use social widgets.
You run a subscription service or any kind of forums.
Did I get your attention? I thought so.
The webinar goes live Saturday, May 05, 2018 at 5:00 PM US/Eastern
In this webinar, I’ll simplify [as best as possible], in plain-language how the EU GDPR could impact your data collection, and what you need to do to get compliant before May 25, 2018.
Though I’m not a legal professional, I will outline the basics of what you need to know about this data protection law and help you understand how to get compliant.
Otherwise, it can cost you a fortune.
