Simply Stylist NYC, Do What You Love

Last Sunday NLL ventured uptown Manhattan to the W Hotel and the Simply Stylist “Do What you Love” NYC conference. The Simply Stylist conference is a fashion and beauty filled day with an incredible lineup of expert panelists, the industry’s top bloggers, stylists and entrepreneurs. I had prior engagements but was able to attend the Social Butterfly part of the day - admission to the Breakout Sessions and The Brand Experience! The Dove interactive experience at Simply Stylist NYC. #trydry #simplystylistny

Simply Stylist had a slew of interactive fun lined up! So from 3 - 6pm, myself and other beauty and fashion influencers sipped on cocktails and wine, nibbled on delicious appetizers, got hair and makeup touchups, posed for photos and networked with amongst ourselves and other style experts. We also had the opportunity to connect with both brands we already knew as well as new ones, and of course the awesome breakout sessions.

The Brand Experience

I was able to join in on the Dove experience - learning about their new products, the skincare benefits, snapped few a pics for social media. I even won a beautiful pair of earrings playing their “spin the wheel” game. I really needed to take a load off with a chair massage by Soothe, but the BB Cushion touch-up I received from Laneige would have gone to waste. The #OOTD with Fashion Illustrator, Lilly Qian was too long to even bother with, so I gave my tired feet a break at the Ortholite #Shoefie station, and thank you Little Words Project for the words of inspiration. I definitely enjoyed KeVita’s sparkling probiotic drinks and got a few monetizing tips at the ShopStyle Blogger Bar.

To think I was seriously contemplating not attending, as I had prior engagements and was super exhausted. But Simply Stylist NYC was definitely a great way to spend my Sunday afternoon. The only downside was… I couldn’t just fall out and go to sleep afterwards.

When was the last time you attended a conference of any sort?
