Moving Beyond Your Fears
Do your fears have you boxed? Our biggest giant as human beings is FEAR... and today I conquered one. Lately whenever I attempt to do something for my two year old, she would say "no mommy I’ll do it". And as I watch her tackle her little tasks one at a time, it got me thinking about how in life we put limitations on ourselves. Limitations that stem from fears that cause us to give up, or better yet, cause us to fail to try at all. We are all afraid, on one level or another. But the difference between the average and the successful is that they are willing to work through their fears to get to where they want to be. And you too can get to where you want to be by moving beyond your fears.
Someone once told me when you feel afraid just think through all the possible outcomes, then ask yourself, what do I have to lose? You see by not trying at all, you will always wonder what if? It is important to allow yourself to keep moving beyond your fears - because you might just surprise yourself.
They say sometimes all you need is just 20 seconds of courage. Yesterday I had exactly 1:05 minute of courage. Creating my own videos have always been on my list of things to accomplish but every time I thought about doing it, fear would set in and cause me to not try at all. I finally made a video - one minute of courage was all it took to move me beyond my fear. And you know what? I loved it! I finally made a video, I mustered up the courage and I did it! So be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get my notifications of new videos.
You too can work through moving beyond your fears. If you let your fears stop you, your sense of self gets smaller and the fear gets bigger and even more powerful.
With the exception of the computer reflection in my glasses, what do you think of my first video?
