Beauty Fixes I am Crushing On

If there is one thing I cannot get enough of, it is a beauty fix. Between the many beauty products I receive regularly and DIY personal care treatments, I have been dabbling in a variety of lotions and potions. Last time we showed you how to harness the power of youthfulness with InstaNatural, how to get thick long lashes with Younique 3D Fiber lash mascara, and encouraged a bit of beauty rehab with Pura D'or hair and body care products. This time, I have rounded up a few of the beauty fixes I am crushing on.
Mirtha Deep Conditioning Hair Masque
I love, love, love this deep conditioning hair masque. If dry brittle hair is you problem, this advanced hair formula has got you covered. I got my hand on this four jars of this Mirtha Deep Conditioning Hair Masque during New York Fashion Week. After the first use, I fell in love. This rich advanced hair formula was the real thing. It penetrates, repairs and hydrates damaged dry hair, leaving it revitalized and dramatically smoother, less frizzy and more manageable.
Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate
I received this serum a few months back. It is touted to protect the skin against wrinkle-causing free radicals, hydrates, and strengthens the skin's natural moisture. I especially like how refreshing, silky and smooth the skin feels after use – the perfect canvas for makeup application. The Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate dries pretty quickly, and gives the skin a soothing effect.
Though I am not an avid drinker of water, as of late, I started having a glass of lemon water every morning before eating anything. Why lemon water you ask? Because not only is it packed with antioxidants, a glass of water infused with the juice of half a lemon revitalizes the body and mind. Lemons stimulates digestion and aids the immune system while water flushes the body of toxins, enhance enzyme function, and stimulates your liver and kidney. Most of all, no matter what on the surface beauty fixes you may try, what you eat and drink is also important.
Garnier Clean + Blackhead Eliminating Scrub
When Allure offered to send me this Garnier Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub for oily skin, to get my input, I was thrilled – and it was perfect timing. The product is non-comedogenic and dermatology tested, infused with charcoal and salicylic acid to combat blackheads, oils and impurities. I really loved how clean, fresh and smooth it made my skin feel. The texture of the beads are very fine and not too abrasive, plus it also made my skin feel less oily. Now if only they could make it smell less masculine.
Home Made Body Scrub
Welcome spring with renewed and revitalized skin using ingredients from your kitchen cupboard. Combine equal parts water, coconut oil, honey and brown sugar in a jar. Final result, home-made body scrub for unbelievably soft and smooth skin. Sugar cane, from which brown sugar is derived, produces glycolic acid, one of the natural alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliates; while coconut oil and honey moisturizes the skin. But if you prefer something more commercial, then try Fresh® Brown Sugar Body Polish®.
