Nassau Community College Fashion Throw Down

Roosevelt Field present its own version of the reality show Project Runway, called "Broadway by Design."

I was invited to be part of a very distinguished panel of judges when Roosevelt Field present its own version of the reality show Project Runway, called "Broadway by Design."

Broadway by Design is a design war competition featuring the students from Nassau Community College Fashion Design program, showcasing fashion designs inspired by Broadway shows Motown: the smash hits musical, Pippin, and Cinderella.

Seven students will put their skills to the test, they were given $100 for materials and six weeks to create custom looks for their selected models, without going over their budget. Their creativity will be revealed on the Roosevelt Field runway on Thursday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. The winning student designer will receive among other prizes tickets to a Broadway Show, a meet-and-greet with the show's costume designer, gifts and gift cards from Roosevelt Field retailers.

I am sooo looking forward to seeing the competitor's creativity brought to life... don't worry I'll bring you follow-up deets on Twitter.
