The Best of NYFW Spring 2015, Day 2

NYFW Spring 2015 is in full swing... And like a bee hive the Lincoln Center steps swarmed with show attendees, as well as the spectators who come decked in their carefully curated gears, hoping their street style will make the pages of one of the major blogs, websites or magazines. However, today we will be keeping our eyes focused on what's happening on the catwalk. My round up begins with one of my favorite designers... Kate Spade. I always love her collection and this Spring/Summer 2015 "Stay Fresh" leisure inspired collection (shown above) was no different. And oh how I loved the coordinated novelty bags; they were the highlight of the presentation, as the models stood on white boxes with the presentation floor all laid with fresh grass.

Rebecca Minkoff's collection targeted the young fashionista's and was inspired by the late fashion photographer Deborah Turbeville. The audience was treated to live music from a young rock band, 3D glasses to view the last five looks, and they even got to take home sparkly black iPhone cases.

Jason Wu whose collection was inspired by women whom he deems to have impeccable style - actresses Diane Kruger and Charlotte Rampling. His collection was a presentation of American style couture sportswear. He used rich fabrics such as silk organza and suede to make casual looks that resembled denim.

New comer Wes Gordon delighted us with a feminine minimalist collection that featured very clean lines.

To top off this round up, the Ice Bucket Challenge made it to NYFW runway. Project Runway host Heidi Klum (dressed in a sexy lace min-dress) in honor of ALS, performed the Ice Bucket Challenge on her well attired co-host Tim Gunn right after the Project Runway fashion show.
